In order to make your first million, you MUST ensure your ‘marketing mix’ for your shop is always right. The marketing mix consists of the ‘four Ps’ of Price, Product, Promotion and Place.

  • Price – your goods have to be competitively priced. They don’t necessarily have to be cheaper than anyone else, but the do have to offer better value in terms of delivery, quality, customer service etc.
  • Product - you need to have items that people actually want to buy, and you need to move with the times and the vagaries of fashion. For example, toy Daleks are very popular now, and they were big in 1964 too. But ask a seven-year-old in 2002 what a Dalek was and they would probably respond with a blank stare. Moral: Constantly ask yourself: Who is tomorrow's customer and what do they want to buy?
  • Promotion - if no-one knows about your shop, it won’t sell anything, no matter how cheap the prices. Promotion can come in many forms - ads in newspapers, on the radio etc. Also, you could advertise online. What’s running a shop like?

Ah.. you need to see Krann Shop’s ‘back end’ - that’s the view from behind the counter and it is all part of our demo.

The Krann Shop's Admin section allows you to delete and list new products, change your personal details and create and deletete product categories. Once you have saved your changes and you will see the demo shop at www.krannshop.co.uk changes too!

Of course, you'll need a bit of training from us to get the most out of your shop, but you'll see enough to know that it is relatively straightforward - the only complications are thatour shops offer a myriad of additional features such as SMS messaging, emial newsletters, customer databases etc. These things are there when you need them - and you will need them, in time!

Krann shops

If you want to be technical, our shops are based on a MySQL database of product information which is accessed by web pages written in PHP. We host the shop and database for you for a small annual fee. If you have a payment gateway (with WorldPay for example) there's a small extra cost there too - aside from the initial set up charges which we agree beforehand, there's nothing else to pay.
