Yahoo! Krann Marketing's Hot New Entry15 February 2005 KRANN COMMUNICATIONS, the fledgling marketing agency based in Poynton, Cheshire, UK, has notched up a significant search-engine success. On a search for the keywords 'Cheshire Marketing', Yahoo! (www.yahoo.com) lists Krann Ltd (http://www.krann.com/) at number eight. It represents a great success for the company, which is still less than a year old and up against stiff competition from many larger firms in the northwest. Managing Director John Shiel said: "I'm delighted. This proves we practice what we preach and, as far as Yahoo! is concerned, we are offering the kind of marketing service that companies in Cheshire can benefit from." Shiel revealed he had not paid any money to Yahoo! to get such a high ranking so quickly. "It is all down to meaningful content delivered in a snappy style and adherance to standard search engine techniques," he explained. "Our aim is to give our search engine optimisation customers a top ten ranking in their chosen field. We've got to give them what we've got and keep giving it," he added. Shiel now aims to get a top ten Yahoo! ranking for the phrase 'UK Marketing'. He added: "It's going to be tough. We are up against over 13 million other sites, but we've got to aim high!"
